I have a newly installed JRSC and I really wish I went turbo. I'm not impresed at all with the way the car drives, especially on warm days. I basically get the same problems as a turbo kit, with about 30 less HP.
I'm having constant belt squeeking, even after tightening them and all the stories about broken FMU's is really starting to worry me.
Its come to the point I am seriously considering selling the kit with only about 200 miles on it.

Damn 4 Door, I am sorry to hear that you are ready to get rid of it already. I know for one, I have had a problem free (except for the FPR) Kill filled (don't forget about the Ferrari) 10k and I do love it. But that fact that we have seamingly been forgotten about by JR sometimes makes me wish I went turbo (Drag III BB & Tial wastegate
). That and the fact that my car doesn't make that sweet assed PPPSSTTT sound
I am thinking that after the fuel up grade (& maybe Nitrous) I will leave the blower alone and move on to the Body Kit (Buddy Club), new wheels (something in Gun metal), sponsor route. I have one sponsor but I am looking for some big name sponsors and hope that being stranded in Nebraska will work to my advantage
Tons of peeps know about me all over this state and even into the surrounding areas. But I think I am done with the power increase on the blower side. Who would have thought we wouldn't get anything more from JR??? I second the CR-V commment

As far as the fuel is concerned. I think that a VAFC will help out a lot. I have a solution for someone that is at least half as cheap. I have a Field Hyper R SFC and it can do what the VAFC does but not as elegantly. I have used this on my JRSC with 12 psi and 310cc injectors daily at 20 degrees farenheit. I was able to have a perfect idle and I gained 5whp througout the powerband with a fuel increase while in boost. I will sell it for 150.00 OBO. If interested, email [email protected].
Ask JRCivic he saw my car.

Being an owner of my third supercharger (two vortechs previous, Mustang and Trans Am), I'd have to say that the JRSC is a pretty sweet setup and fairly trouble free so far. I compare supercharging to cocaine addiction, you can never have enough. Keep it all in perspective by knowing that before and after power is a lot better, and it's only 1800cc's of motor.

Thanks for the offer Lithiasis but I am going the "mechanical" route with the larger fuel rail (STR or maybe an AEM now) Vortech adjustable regulator and Cartech. The Vortech and Cartech are in the mail right now and I just have to decide on the rail. I have "Our" solution to "Our" problem but I just thought I would vent on "Their" practice of hyping up the system to the high hills and then "Us" in the real world being stuck with fixing the problems and building on the kit with no support (seems like) from JR
What is very F*cked up is that it does seriously seem that the salesmen & techs are left to deal with us (Shawn & Keith) and try and make it all better when possible. They do a great job of this and the guys help us out alot but they can't carry JR on their backs.

The answer to the CRV question is------
It was built because Jackson's wife bought a CRV. BTW they stopped work on the LS Integra kit to the CRV kit and then went back and finished the LS kit.
My question is with all the people who are disgruntled with JR and company, why aren't you guys pursuing other forms of SC. Vortex and Paxton both have Counter rotating units. I know Vortex is working on a system for the Si but if enough intrest is shown i a sure they would look at the Tg line also. There is also the company Scan Power and there Rotrex SC. Last time I posted something about a company called Civinco (civinco.com) there was little to no reply. As a RS owner I understand the frustrations caused by the "reasoning" of JR but, at least I am looking elsewhere and showing support to other companies for at least trying to come up with something.
Sorry for the long post.

Just to confirm, yes I heard the same exact thing about the CR-V kit. Also, the TypeR kit got preferential treatment over the LS even though there are AT MOST 2000 per year running around the US and Canada, and many of the owners arent interested in modifying their "limited edition" vehicle. And then the LS kit came out with the smaller blower from the Civic kit.
